Bedrock Dynamic Light Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Bedrock Dynamic Light Mod is a simple quality-of-life add-on that does exactly what a lot of players wish torches already did. Instead of needing to place torches constantly, the torch actually lights up when you hold it, so you can keep walking and still see what’s in front of you. That’s the whole idea: make the torch work “as it should” in moment-to-moment survival, especially when you’re moving through darkness.

In real gameplay, this changes night travel immediately. You can head from your base to a farm, cross a forest, or run along a coastline without stopping every few steps to drop light sources. It also makes quick cave checks feel way smoother, because you can hold a torch to see what you’re doing before deciding whether a spot is worth lighting permanently. The add-on specifically calls out that you can walk at night without being afraid anymore, and that’s the vibe it delivers—visibility goes up, panic goes down.

The torch range is stated clearly: it has a range of up to 7 blocks. That’s enough to give you a real “bubble” of visibility so you’re not blindly stepping into holes or getting jump-scared by mobs in pitch black. It won’t turn the whole area into daylight, but it’s a solid distance for moving safely and keeping your path readable while you travel.

Practical tip: use the held torch when you’re exploring or traveling, and save placed torches for spots you actually want permanently lit—like your base interior, storage rooms, farms, and main pathways. That way you get the best of both worlds: clean-looking terrain without torch spam, and stable lighting where it matters. Bedrock Dynamic Light Mod is basically a Minecraft Bedrock torch upgrade that gives you mobile light by simply holding the torch, with a stated range up to 7 blocks.
