Distant Horizons BE Mod is for power users who want the horizon pushed way past the stock slider. It’s not a behavior/resource add-on—you install it as a mod file, and once it’s in, you can drive render distance beyond the normal ceiling to see builds, mountains, and coastlines from far farther away on Bedrock. The author also tuned two of their add-ons to play nicely with high distances: Fast Forward (performance-focused) and Creative in Survival (has an internal boost), so if you already use those, they can help keep things smooth when you’re running 50+.
Platform notes straight from the project: Android is safely limited to about 50; iOS limit is unknown; on PC and consoles, the value is effectively “unlimited” and depends on your hardware and tolerance for load. Because this is a system-level tweak, treat it with care: back up worlds, test on a copy, step render distance up gradually, and watch temps/battery on handhelds. Expect heavier chunk loads, more memory use, and possible drops on crowded servers or big redstone hubs. Achievements and platform rules can vary by install method, so assume nothing—verify on a throwaway world first.
If you’re comfortable with advanced setup and want cinematic views or long-range timelapses without leaving Bedrock, Distant Horizons BE Mod gives you the headroom—just bring the hardware and good sense.
Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
