SOUL WITCH: Spooky New Boss & Ghosts mod — drops you into a colder, meaner night where flickering shapes cruise the treeline and every footstep near water makes you glance up for a glow. Ghosts spawn after dark in roofed forest and pale garden biomes, sometimes phasing straight through blocks before charging like tiny missiles. They hit harder than your average nuisance and tag you with a weakness debuff, so you’ll learn to bait swings, roll back, and finish them clean. The payoff is Ectoplasm, and that goo fuels almost everything here.

Ectoplasm Eyes let you pull a quick escape or gap-close: pop one and you go invisible, launch upward, then drift with slow falling while a speed boost kicks in. If you’d rather control the room, craft a Stunning Whistle with Ectoplasm and copper; blow it near mobs to freeze movement for a moment, mind the cooldown, and repair it with more Ectoplasm when it wears down. Builders get toys too—ghostly bricks (with cracked and chiseled cuts, plus slabs, stairs, and walls) and a soul-spewing Ectoplasm block that looks wicked but won’t fully refund without Silk Touch, so place with intent.



The endgame hook is the Malice Lurer. Craft it, then hunt for a rare ghost-brick altar hiding a Haunted Core. Use the lurer and she arrives: the EVIL SOUL WITCH, a 420-HP menace with damage immunities, teleports, spirit summons, clones, and mixed projectiles that punish greedy players. Beat her and assemble the boss track from dropped fragments into a playable disc, pocket fresh Ectoplasm, and snag one of four weapons: Spirit Sceptre to call friendly ghosts, Soul Slasher that withers and deals extra to ghosts and witches, or a Soul Tome tuned for sonic bursts or brutal fireballs. She always hands over either a Wicked Hat or Wicked Robe too—armor with handy buffs and immunity perks like poison, so you can cosplay the victor and keep raiding. It’s a behavior pack, so don’t count on achievements; if your save matters, test in a copy world first.
