Realistic Lifestock Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.26

Realistic Lifestock Addon will increase the growth of cows and other mobs and livestock if you feed them more. Your new calf is adorable, but don’t expect it to grow up while you finish one quick mining trip. Realistic Lifestock slows down animal growth in Minecraft Bedrock and gives farming a more demanding rhythm, with bigger rewards for players willing to plan ahead. Baby cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, horses, donkeys, mules, and llamas take around eight hours to grow naturally in the linked version. You can feed babies to speed things up, but getting them to adulthood takes much more food than in the standard game. That makes your crop fields a bigger part of the operation. If you want a steady supply of animals, you’ll need to think about how much wheat and other food you’re willing to put into raising them rather than eating or trading it yourself.

The payoff comes when your animals are fully grown. Large farm animals can provide up to five times more food, along with resources such as leather and bones. Smaller animals can yield extra items too, including feathers and rabbit’s feet. It’s a different pace from quickly breeding a handful of animals and expecting an immediate supply of meat. Start your herd early, give it room, and keep other food available while the young grow. You might decide to expand a wheat field before adding more cows, or set aside a section of your farm for breeding animals you want to keep. Animals that normally eat wheat can also eat hay blocks in version 6.0.0, giving you another use for those stacks of crops.

Daily resources need a little more planning as well. Cows provide milk once per Minecraft day, and chickens lay eggs once per day, so a single animal won’t supply everything on demand. If you’re making a lot of cakes or gathering eggs for another project, a larger flock may be worth the space. Large animals also produce manure, which gives your farm another useful output. Put it into a composter to obtain bone meal, or process it in a furnace to get coal. That creates a handy loop: your animals produce material that can help your crops grow, and those crops can support the next generation of livestock. Your barn might not smell great in real life, but in Minecraft you can appreciate the fertilizer without worrying about it.

The Llama Update adds another feature that’s easy to miss: equip a llama with a carpet and you can steer it. That gives your wool collection a practical use when you want to take a llama along for a trip. Realistic Lifestock suits players who enjoy building a farm that develops over time, with fields, pens, and storage all supporting one another. The linked file is version 6.0.0 as an .mcaddon download, listed for Minecraft Bedrock 26.10. Open it to import the addon and enable its packs in your world settings. A later 6.0.1 hotfix addresses an issue with animal drops, so check which version you’ve installed if your livestock drops the usual vanilla loot.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
