Bonnie's Source Engine Mod This is a technical mod for Minecraft Bedrock that adds tools and invisible logic blocks for creating your own maps, minigames, horror scenarios, teleports, triggers and various game mechanics in the Source Engine style.
A perfectly normal Minecraft hallway becomes a whole different beast when stepping on the wrong block triggers something you never saw coming. Source Engine gives Minecraft Bedrock map builders the tools to create those moments themselves, using invisible logic blocks, triggers, teleporters, and other technical features to make custom adventures feel more like actual games. And no, this isn't the kind of addon where you craft a fancy sword and spend the evening smacking zombies. This one is for people who look at an empty building and immediately start imagining secret doors, creepy encounters, and puzzles designed to mess with their friends.
The invisible logic blocks are probably the most interesting part of the package. They let creators work on the machinery behind a map without filling every room with obvious redstone contraptions. Think about building an abandoned research facility. The player walks through a deserted corridor, notices a strange room at the end, and crosses an invisible trigger that activates an event. Suddenly, a place that looked completely ordinary becomes part of a scripted experience. Teleporters can also help connect areas in ways that don't depend on traditional hallways or staircases. You could create a mysterious elevator, move players between different sections of a facility, or design a puzzle where entering one room unexpectedly leads somewhere else. The download describes these systems as tools inspired by the Source Engine style, which makes sense if you've spent time with games built around scripted environments and clever level design. Minecraft already gives you the blocks to make an interesting location. This addon helps you think about what actually happens inside it.
I'd love to use Source Engine for a short horror adventure. Nothing enormous at first, just a little underground complex with flickering lights, confusing passages, and a few carefully planned surprises. You could build something completely different too. A multiplayer minigame with separate starting areas, a puzzle course that reacts to player movement, or an adventure map with scripted challenges would all fit the general purpose of these tools. The really fun part is deciding how much information players should have. Sometimes a clearly marked teleport makes perfect sense. Other times, letting someone discover a hidden mechanic on their own creates a much better reaction. I'd probably invite a friend to test the map and then spend an hour fixing every shortcut they managed to find.
Source Engine is primarily a technical toolkit, so it's worth approaching it differently from a regular survival addon. You don't need a massive castle or hundreds of custom monsters to make a memorable Minecraft experience. Sometimes one unexpected event in an ordinary looking hallway is enough to make somebody remember your map for weeks.
