Harvest In Peace (HIP) Mod is made for players who love the grind of survival but are sick of creepers punching holes in every build they make. Normally your options are terrible: either play on peaceful and lose hunger plus a bunch of mob-based items, or play with difficulty on and constantly get bullied by skeletons, spiders, phantoms, and the rest. Harvest In Peace flips that deal. With this addon enabled as a behavior pack, you can run your world on easy, normal, or hard, keep hunger and all the normal survival rules… but block hostile mob spawns so you can actually enjoy harvesting and building in peace.
The smart part is that it doesn’t soft-lock your progress. The Ender Dragon and shulkers are still allowed to spawn, because you need the dragon to beat the game and shulkers for shulker boxes. Everything else can be shut down, so you’re walking through quiet nights and safe caves instead of constantly listening for explosions. It feels like a custom “builder’s mode” that still counts as real survival.
Harvest In Peace (HIP) Mod also fixes some survival gaps that show up once mobs are gone. Composters get a small but super useful buff: now you can compost bamboo while holding it in your main hand, and every time the composter hits level 8 it drops 1–2 bone meal plus dirt blocks. That’s huge for anyone who wants to run big farms without skeletons. On top of that, the addon adds custom recipes for things like gunpowder and phantom membrane, plus some quality-of-life conversions such as turning bamboo blocks into charcoal and charcoal into coal blocks. You keep the calm, mob-free world, but you don’t lose access to the items that normally depend on hostile drops.
