Tempered in Flame Mod / Addon

Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21

Tempered in Flame Addon will remake all biomes and mobs on them. I will show you how the game world will look now. I used to enter the Nether with a short list: find a fortress, collect what I needed, and get back through the portal before something knocked me into lava. Tempered in Flame makes that plan harder to stick to. A strange structure appears beyond a ridge, the forest ahead is full of unfamiliar plants, and there’s a creature nearby that definitely wasn’t there before. Suddenly, a quick supply run has turned into an afternoon of exploring.

The changes start with the places you already know. Warped forests grow thicker with new vegetation, tree variants, and twisting vines. Crimson forests have extra plants of their own, including crimson sprouts. Travel into a soul sand valley and you’ll find spikes rising among the terrain, along with skeleton wolves and more plants. The basalt deltas have ash around their lava oceans, and blazes can appear there as well. Even the Nether wastes have a different look, with spikes breaking up the landscape. Beyond these reworked areas lies the Irradiated Wastes, a dangerous biome with its own hostile inhabitants. Fortresses and piglin bastions have also been redesigned to fit the biomes where they generate, so an old landmark may look quite different when you come across it.

There’s more to find than a new view. Quartz geodes hide useful building materials, including rose quartz and soul quartz, while larger structures offer rewards to anyone willing to face what’s inside. The abandoned lab contains valuable resources, but drones and the powerful Mech of Mutation guard the place. The Cinders Labyrinth holds another discovery: a charred allay that can be tamed and equipped with a weapon. If you’re looking for a bigger fight, Pyrogen brings fireballs and other attacks to the battle. You can also find a Mutated Nuclear Ghast sleeping on a structure; waking it requires an Infernal Death Whistle. Neither sounds like a fight to start when you’re running low on food and carrying all your best supplies.

The materials you bring back can become equipment for future journeys. Ruby, obsidian, and virolite can be used for tools and armor, while the Soul Forge opens up recipes that require special forging templates. Pyrogen drops a template needed for pyro gear, giving you a reason to prepare for the boss and seek out the forge. Battle axes are another option if you like hitting hard, although using one temporarily slows and weakens you after a strike. There are potions to discover, too, with effects ranging from useful to dangerous. You can approach the add-on however you like: hunt bosses, gather new blocks for a build, or take a cautious walk through each biome and see what has changed.
