The LandLocker Minecraft mod will add a feature to reserve land for the player so that no one can steal or harm it. There’s a particular kind of disappointment that comes from returning to your Minecraft base and finding a wall missing, your chests opened, or somebody’s “funny surprise sitting where your farm used to be. LandLocker is designed to help prevent that. It lets players claim areas of land and decide who can interact with them, making it useful for shared survival worlds where everyone wants room to build without worrying about unwanted changes.
Once you’ve claimed an area, LandLocker can protect it against things such as unauthorized block breaking, block placement, explosions, and interactions with protected blocks and mobs. That means your house, storage area, and the animals you keep inside the claim can have an extra layer of protection. It’s especially helpful when your world has grown beyond a handful of close friends. A player joining for the first time can explore and find a place to settle without being able to casually alter someone else’s home. You still get to share the same world, but each person has more control over the space they’ve worked on.
A claim doesn’t have to stay the same size forever. LandLocker lets you adjust its boundaries with a golden shovel, which is useful when a little starter house turns into a larger base with a farm, workshop, and animal pens. Take a moment to check the area you’ve claimed as your project grows; a new building outside the boundary won’t automatically benefit from protection just because it’s near your house. The add-on also supports smaller subdivisions within a larger claim, giving you another way to organize shared spaces. A group could, for example, keep a common area while setting aside sections for individual players.
The permissions are useful when you want friends to visit or help without giving everyone the same level of access. You can trust another player to build in your claim, give someone access to containers and animals, or allow more limited interaction with buttons and levers. There’s also an option to let a trusted player manage permissions. That means the friend helping you build an entire base can have broader access than a visitor who only needs to use a button. If your plans change, you can remove a player’s permissions instead of having to abandon the whole area.
LandLocker also includes commands for creating and leaving claims, checking claim information, and managing trusted players. A world operator can adjust settings through an interface, which is handy when a community needs rules that fit the way its members play. Before using the add-on, enable the required Beta APIs in the world’s experimental settings. Then it’s worth testing a claim with a friend so you both understand what each permission allows. Once everyone knows how their areas work, players can get back to the enjoyable part: building ambitious homes, farms, and shared projects without having to check every chest after each visit.
