Server Organization: Team Manager Addon
Setting up factions or minigames on a Bedrock server requires strict organization. The Team Manager addon condenses player grouping and rule management into a single physical item. When an admin interacts with the Team Manager, a built-in user interface form opens directly on the screen. You bypass the need for complicated command block chains and can manually assign any active player to a specific team right from this central menu.
The addon immediately applies visual indicators to identify group members. A player's floating nametag color shifts to match their assigned team color. The tracking mechanics also utilize a custom Locator Bar Mode. Server hosts control exactly who is visible on the HUD. Setting the locator to the "Everyone" mode displays color-coded waypoints for all players across the map. The "Team" setting restricts the interface so players only see the exact coordinates of their own teammates. You can also disable tracking entirely by setting the mode to "Off," though you must manually run the vanilla command /gamerule playerwaypoints off to ensure the core game mechanics sync properly with the addon.
That means no more accidental friendly-kill rage quits during high-intensity PvP scrims. You can instantly balance teams when someone disconnects, randomize player allocations for spontaneous bracket play, or lock down rosters before the match starts so nobody can cheese the system.
Visual clarity gets a massive boost as well. When you're in the middle of a chaotic team fight, split-second recognition matters. It brings that polished, dedicated-server feel to regular Bedrock realms and local worlds without needing third-party server software or external plugins.
For mini-game creators and realm admins, the backend efficiency is a lifesaver. Built specifically on modern scripting APIs, the tool runs exceptionally light on hardware. You won't notice the input delay or tick drops that usually plague servers running bulky command contraptions. It pairs seamlessly with custom PvP maps, capture-the-flag arenas, and battle royale setups, acting as the invisible engine keeping the entire competition fair, fast, and structured.
Setting it up in your world takes minimal effort—just apply the behavior pack, ensure your world experimental toggles are turned on, and hand out operator permissions to whoever is running the show. If you're serious about taking your competitive events from chaotic brawls to smoothly operated scrims, the Team Manager Addon is an indispensable utility that belongs in every host's toolkit. Load it up, dial in your rosters, and let the games begin.
Combat parameters are built straight into the management menu. The host has direct control over a Friendly Fire toggle. You dictate whether players sharing a team color can deal physical weapon or projectile damage to each other. This is necessary for running structured PvP arenas, capture-the-flag events, or large-scale base defense scenarios where accidental crossfire needs to be disabled.
In-game communication gets a private channel setup. Players do not have to leak their coordinates or strategies in the global server chat. Typing the custom /teamchat command brings up a dedicated text box form.
Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
