Empire Expansion Addon new structures, resources, tables, economy, houses, diseases in the style of ancient empires for Minecraft. Your colony has walls, a growing population, and an army at the gate. Then the treasury runs dry, the soldiers go hungry, and an outbreak hits town. Welcome to running an empire.
Empire Expansion adds buildings, resources, military management, and disease to Minecraft Bedrock. It’s an expansion for Jerry’s Colonies, so you’ll need that base addon for it to work. Together, they give you more to manage than the layout of a settlement: your citizens need supplies, your troops need support, and the decisions you make can affect how well the whole colony functions.
Start by thinking about what your town needs to keep going. A Town Hall gives you a place to monitor your settlement, while a warehouse helps store resources for future projects. There are banks and forges for the economic side of your empire, plus hospitals for when citizens get sick. Defensive structures include walls, gates, towers, and barracks, giving you the pieces to turn an exposed settlement into a fortified town. You can plan districts around their purpose: keep the hospital close to the center, put storage near your workshops, and build defenses where you expect trouble. A town that started as a few houses can gradually become a much bigger project.
Resources are divided into categories, including minerals, organic supplies, construction materials, and technology. They serve different purposes, so expanding your military while neglecting the rest of the economy can leave you short elsewhere. Your treasury matters, too. A Banker NPC can exchange valuables for colony currency, giving you funds to support your growing settlement. It’s satisfying to watch a town expand, but there’s a practical side to every upgrade: somebody has to pay for it, and your stockpiles need to keep up with your ambitions.
The army system gives your defenses more personality than a line of generic guards. Soldiers can become ranged units when given bows or crossbows, while knights, tanks, assassins, and Royal Guards fill different roles. A General supports nearby troops with Strength and Resistance, but each colony can have only one. Knights can patrol or hold guard positions, which makes them useful around places you don’t want left exposed. Don’t spend all your attention on recruitment, though. Troops need food and salaries; neglect those supplies, and they can become exhausted or refuse to fight. A big army looks impressive right up until payday becomes a problem.
Disease adds another challenge inside the walls. Illnesses can affect citizens in different ways, from slowing them down to weakening them or reducing their productivity. Some can spread, making a hospital and its Infirmary Table a useful part of your planning. Treatment costs money and organic resources, so keeping a reserve is a lot smarter than spending everything on your next military upgrade.
Empire Expansion gives colony builders plenty to juggle: defend the gates, keep the treasury healthy, and make sure your citizens can recover when sickness strikes. It’s a good fit if you enjoy watching a settlement grow and want a reason to care about what happens behind its walls.
