Mesozoic Biology Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.26

Mesozoic Biology Minecraft mod will add real prehistoric creatures, this is the new Mesozoic Biology in Minecraft. Meet dinosaurs and many different Mesozoic creatures in the game. A fossil usually means a few bone blocks buried underground in Minecraft. With Mesozoic Biology, finding one can be the beginning of something much bigger. This addon lets you uncover fossils, use them to create prehistoric creatures, and raise dinosaurs in your own world. There are more than 90 species to discover, from familiar animals such as Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops to flying reptiles and creatures that lived in the water. If you’ve ever wanted to build a dinosaur park, you’ll have plenty of reasons to start planning those enclosures.

The animals are designed with an interest in paleontology, so don’t expect every dinosaur to look exactly like it does in a movie. Some have features you might not expect if you’re used to older depictions of prehistoric life. You can compare the enormous Spinosaurus with a much smaller Compsognathus, or make room for a long-necked sauropod that towers over your other animals. There are well-known creatures here, but part of the fun is finding one whose name you don’t recognize and seeing how it fits into your park.

To bring these animals into your world, start by looking for fossil ore. Mining it gives you fossils, including ones associated with particular species. You’ll then need a cloning machine and biofuel, which is made from a bone and an egg. Put the fossils into the machine to begin the process. Larger animals need more generic fossils than smaller ones, so don’t be surprised if you have to spend extra time gathering materials for a giant. When the cloning process is complete, you receive an egg that lets you bring your chosen creature to life.

Once your animal is young, you can begin looking after it. Most species can be tamed as babies, but the food you need depends on what kind of creature you’re raising. Carnivores can be tamed with cooked steak, while herbivores prefer baked potatoes. Fish-eating animals use cooked salmon, and some omnivores can be tamed with seeds or dried kelp. Different foods are also used to help the animals grow and breed, so keeping a good supply near your enclosures is worth the effort. It’s a nice excuse to expand your farms alongside the dinosaur park.

Some of the larger creatures can be ridden once they’re fully grown and tamed. You can also make your animals sit or use a bone while sneaking to switch between following and roaming. That gives you room to decide how you want to keep them: one dinosaur might accompany you around your base, while others stay in an enclosure where you can watch them. Think about the size of each species when you build. A small pen that works for a young animal may feel very different once it has grown, especially if you’re raising one of the larger sauropods.

A prehistoric park doesn’t have to be finished all at once. Start with one enclosure, search for fossils on your next mining trip, and add animals as you collect the materials to create them. You might build a pond for aquatic creatures, a spacious field for herbivores, and a separate area where you can safely observe the carnivores. Mesozoic Biology gives you a reason to keep exploring even after your base is established: the next fossil you find could be the beginning of a creature you haven’t raised before.
