Enchanted Blades Addon super magical and powerful blades, each enchanted and will be able to give its own unique power. A good sword can get you through plenty of Minecraft fights, but Enchanted Blades gives you a reason to go looking for something more unusual. The addon introduces magical enemies called Ophanims and five blades made from materials they leave behind. Each sword has its own effect: one poisons enemies, another slows them, and another can send them floating into the air. Getting the materials means traveling to different parts of the world and taking on a new opponent for each blade.
Your search can begin in the forests of the Overworld, where the Dendro Ophanim appears. It can poison you up close and use tracking magic when you’re farther away, so keeping your distance won’t necessarily make the fight easy. Bring armor and food, watch for its attacks, and collect its core and shards when you defeat it. Those materials are used to craft the Nature Blade, a sword that inflicts poison on enemies you hit. It’s a useful choice if you like dealing extra damage after the first strike.
A trip to a snowy biome can lead you to the Frost Ophanim. This enemy uses frost magic and can slow you down, which makes movement more difficult when you’re trying to avoid its attacks. The reward for collecting its core and shards is the Ice Blade. Hit an enemy with it and the sword applies a slowing effect, giving you a little more room to respond when something is rushing toward you. The weapon also makes a fitting addition to an ice-themed base or a collection of equipment gathered during your travels.
Not every Ophanim waits out in the open. The Umbra Ophanim can appear underground, often in caves, so a mining trip may turn into a fight before you’ve found the ore you came for. It hits hard, making it worth keeping an eye on your health and having a way out of a cramped passage. Its materials can be used to make the Shadow Blade, which weakens enemies when it strikes them. If you spend a lot of time exploring underground, this is one encounter you’ll want to be ready for rather than meeting it with a nearly broken pickaxe in hand.
The Nether and the End each have an Ophanim of their own. The Pyro Ophanim uses fire and can attack from a distance with tracking magic. Defeat it and you can use its core and shards to craft the Fire Blade, which burns enemies on hit. The End Ophanim also has a ranged attack, so be ready to move when you meet it. Its materials make the End Blade, a weapon that gives enemies levitation when you strike them. Each of the five blades deals the same listed base damage, but their effects give you different ways to handle a fight.
Enchanted Blades fits nicely into a survival world where you enjoy collecting equipment through exploration. You can set out for one sword at a time, prepare for the enemy guarding its materials, and bring the finished weapon back to your base. Keep the different blades nearby and choose one for the effect you want to use. To get started, import the addon, activate its behavior and resource packs, and enable Beta APIs and Upcoming Creator Features in the world’s experimental settings.
