Portable Tent Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.26

Portable Tent is a useful mod for survival, traveling, and quick camping with a Portable Tent in Minecraft. You find the perfect mountain view, then remember your bed, supplies, and favorite wolf are all back at your old base. Portable Tent gives Minecraft Bedrock travelers a way to pack up a compact home and take it along, making it much easier to move when the next great campsite catches your eye. The tent is a tool for moving a base you build yourself, so you get to decide what your traveling home looks like. Make a cozy shelter with a bed and storage, or put together a practical work area for long expeditions. When you’re ready to move on, pack it up and carry it to your next destination. It’s a fun idea for players who love exploring but still want a familiar place to settle down at the end of the day.

Think about how you’d use a mobile base before you build one. If your favorite trips involve mining, you could make a compact camp with space for a furnace, crafting table, and the supplies you bring back from underground. If you’re traveling across the surface, a small shelter with a bed and storage might be all you need. The current guide describes an area nine blocks wide, nine blocks long, and eight blocks high that can be packed, including containers and their contents. That gives you room for more than a bare tent, but it also means your design needs to fit within the capture area. Keeping the build compact makes it easier to find a suitable place to unpack it later.

Where you stand matters when packing. Position yourself in the center of the structure so the capture area covers the parts you want to take. The guide also explains that the area starts at your feet and extends upward; if you want to include the floor beneath you, dig down one block before packing. Test the process with a simple build and replaceable items first, then check that everything made the trip. Unpacking can overwrite blocks at the destination, so choose a clear spot with enough room rather than using the tent next to a build you care about. Features and behavior may differ between downloads, so check how the tent works in your game before relying on it for your most valuable belongings.

A traveling home opens up some fun ways to play. You could move from biome to biome, spending a few days gathering resources in each place before heading onward. Or take a friend on a long expedition and set up camp whenever you find somewhere worth exploring. The linked download is an .mcaddon file: open it with Minecraft, then enable the resource and behavior packs in your world settings. Once it’s active, start with a small campsite and practice packing and unpacking it. After that, the next time you find a place you’d love to live, you can bring more of home with you.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
