No Grief Creeper Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.26

No Grief Creeper Mod adds safety to your blocks, buildings and bases. Now your house will not be destroyed by explosions. You’ve just finished the front of your house when you hear a hiss behind you. There’s barely time to turn around before the creeper explodes, leaving you to gather scattered blocks and work out how the wall used to look. No Grief Creeper takes care of the part of that encounter that can be most frustrating: a creeper explosion will no longer tear apart the blocks around it. Your builds can stay intact while you carry on with your survival world.

That small change makes a difference when you’ve spent a long time working on a place. A damaged dirt path is easy enough to patch, but repairing a detailed roof or a wall made from several types of block can take longer than you expect. You might need to fetch more materials, put scaffolding back up, and check an old screenshot to remember where everything went. With this add-on active, a creeper that catches you near your house won’t leave you with that particular repair job. It’s just as useful around a village, a bridge, or an entrance to a mine—places you pass often and would rather keep looking the way you built them.

The add-on is focused on creepers, so it’s a useful option if those explosions are the problem you want to address. It doesn’t require you to turn off the broader mob griefing rule, which can affect other creatures and their interactions with the world. You can continue working on a village or spending time around your base without changing that setting just to protect your walls from creepers. You should still pay attention when one gets close: protecting blocks doesn’t mean you should assume an explosion is harmless to your character. Keep a shield or a weapon nearby, listen for that familiar hiss, and give yourself room to move when you spot one. The difference is that a mistake near your favorite build won’t leave a crater for you to fill afterward.

Installing it is simple. Download the pack, open the file in Minecraft to import it, then activate it under Behavior Packs in the settings for the world where you want to use it. The add-on is described as achievement friendly, so you can keep working toward achievements while playing with it. Once it’s active, there’s no special item to craft and no area around your base to mark out; the change applies to creeper explosions as you play. It can be especially welcome in a shared world, where one accidental explosion might otherwise damage something another player spent hours building. And if you prefer playing alone, it means you can spend more of your time adding to your house, exploring, or gathering resources instead of reconstructing the same doorway. Creepers will still be part of the world, but the next one that catches you by surprise won’t ruin the blocks you worked so hard to place.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
