Furrion Mod adds new furry creatures and crafting for their customization in Minecraft Bedrock. Furrion brings a rather unusual set of characters into Minecraft: creatures inspired by wolves, foxes, rabbits, sharks and other animals, but with their own humanoid models. You can come across different kinds as you explore, and their behaviour gives you more to think about than simply admiring a new mob. Some encounters can lead to your character becoming infected and gradually changing form, so it’s worth learning how the add-on works before rushing into a fight.
The variety is one of the first things you’ll notice. Among the creatures are wolf and fox characters, rabbits, felines and aquatic animals such as sharks and dolphins. There are also villager-like variants. Their distinct appearances make them easy to tell apart, and meeting one near your home can feel quite different from finding another while travelling through an unfamiliar part of the world. If you enjoy building themed areas, you might find inspiration for a settlement or a waterside location as you get to know them.
Not every creature will greet you peacefully. Hostile variants can attack, and contact with them may cause an infection. The change doesn’t necessarily happen all at once: there is an early stage before a full transformation. That gives you a reason to pay attention after an encounter rather than simply eating some food and carrying on. The add-on also includes infection from a distance, so moving away from an attacker doesn’t mean you should immediately forget about it.
There are items for dealing with the transformation, but their timing matters. Hexylium is intended for the early stage, before the change is complete. Once your character has fully transformed, Derrium is used to return to human form instead. It’s a good idea to learn which item is which and keep the one you need accessible. Searching through several chests while a hostile mob is still nearby is probably not how you want to spend the aftermath of a fight.
Occisium works as a vaccine against infection, with a serious catch: using it while already transformed can kill your character. Make sure you know your current state before using it. If you’re trying out the items for the first time, a safe area near your base gives you room to see what they do without another creature interrupting you. You can also explore the different mobs in creative mode before deciding how you want to encounter them during survival.
Equipment and food can affect transformed characters differently too. Armor may slow movement according to its weight, and tools can apply penalties such as weakness or mining fatigue. Food effects depend on the kind of creature your character has become. These changes can make an ordinary trip feel unfamiliar: the armor you normally wear or the food you usually carry may be worth reconsidering after a transformation.
Furrion offers a mix of new characters, encounters and survival mechanics to experiment with. You might spend time meeting the different creatures, exploring their appearances or learning how to manage an infection. If you’d rather avoid an unexpected transformation, keep your distance from hostile mobs and prepare before approaching them. Either way, there’s plenty here to make a familiar walk through your Minecraft world feel a little less predictable.
