Improved BossBars Mod / Addon

Mods 1.26 / Mods 1.21

Improved BossBars Mod will improve the health bar of bosses in Minecraft. It will make them really cool.

The Ender Dragon has barely any health left, your armor is wrecked, and somehow you're still staring at that boring pink bar at the top of the screen. Improved BossBars gives Minecraft Bedrock's biggest fights a much better presentation, replacing the familiar health indicators with detailed fantasy designs, glowing effects, and richer colors. It doesn't make bosses stronger or hand you ridiculous weapons. It just makes those moments when everything is going wrong look considerably cooler.

The Ender Dragon is where I'd want to see the difference first. You've spent ages preparing for the End, destroyed the crystals, and now you're dodging attacks while trying to land the last few hits. That health bar is practically glued to the top of your vision throughout the encounter. With Improved BossBars, it gets a custom appearance that feels more appropriate for a major boss fight. The new artwork uses decorative fantasy elements, smooth color gradients, and a glowing health fill that makes the bar stand out without becoming difficult to read. There's something satisfying about watching that upgraded indicator slowly empty while you fight. The Wither gets its own redesigned bar too, which is especially welcome considering how chaotic those battles can become. Between explosions, flying projectiles, and trying not to get trapped underground, you don't exactly have time to admire the scenery. At least the information you're constantly checking looks good.

Village raids are included as well, and that's probably the feature I'd notice most often in an established survival world. Fighting the Ender Dragon is usually a major event, but raids can become part of your regular adventures if you enjoy defending settlements. Picture a village surrounded by wooden walls, with iron golems patrolling the streets and a few watchtowers overlooking the surrounding fields. Raiders appear, everybody starts running around, and the updated raid bar gives the whole encounter a more dramatic look. The pack focuses specifically on the Ender Dragon, Wither, and Pillager Raid indicators, so don't expect every ordinary zombie to suddenly have a giant decorated health bar. That's actually a good thing. Minecraft's interface can get crowded enough during combat without adding enormous graphics above every enemy. Improved BossBars saves its visual changes for the fights where that extra bit of atmosphere makes sense. I'd happily use it in a medieval adventure map or a fantasy themed survival world where the new designs fit the surroundings.

One detail worth appreciating is that Improved BossBars is a resource pack rather than a gameplay addon. It changes interface textures, so your damage, boss behavior, and normal survival progression remain untouched. The pack is designed to be lightweight and compatible with most other texture and interface packs, although anything that modifies the same boss bar elements could cause conflicts. It's also achievement friendly, making it easy to use in a survival world where you're still working toward your goals. Installation is simple: import the downloaded MCpack file, open your Minecraft resource pack settings, and activate it. If another interface pack is already installed, check the pack order to make sure the boss bar designs appear correctly. I'd test it during a raid first, then save the full dramatic experience for the next time I summon the Wither. Getting blasted into a crater won't be any less painful, but at least the battle will have a proper fantasy style health bar watching over the disaster.

Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
