Touch the clouds and make them home. Skytown – The Floating City mod lifts the whole playfield into the sky for Minecraft Bedrock, so your “ground level” is now bridges, rooftops, and cliff-edge balconies with wind in your face.

What sold me first is the layout. You’re not just walking a flat street—you’re threading wooden and stone houses, suspension bridges, sky pathways, and winding staircases that actually make sense to follow. Every turn teases a tucked-away corner or a secret passage that loops back to a lookout. I like to start at a central square, mark a color on the path, then sweep each tier clockwise so I don’t miss hidden ledges and small attics with bonus views.



Vertical play changes your routine. You manage fall risk, line up safer jumps, and use ladders, scaffolding, and water elevators to connect layers. Feather Falling boots are clutch; a water bucket saves lives. Phantoms at night? Post up on a tower, sleep regularly, and light those bridge rails to keep mobs off your shortcuts. The town feels fantasy-styled but still reads Vanilla, so it blends cleanly with your survival gear and building habits.

Skytown is great for creative builders and survival grinders alike. Drop a sky-garden on an empty platform, tie market stalls together with hanging lanterns, or claim a tall tower as your base and wire a magma/soul-sand elevator up the spine. In co-op on Realms, one player scouts rooftops while another secures stairs and lighting, and the city slowly becomes your crew’s vertical hub.
