Better Inventory mod — fewer clicks, faster runs, cleaner bags. You get a small tab on the left edge of your inventory that opens a row of simple icons. The chest icon is your Images/Default view: normal inventory behavior, clear item previews, no surprises. When you’re sprint-looting a dungeon or clearing a raid, tap the double-arrow icon to flip into Quick Loot mode. Now you can vacuum items between your inventory and a chest with fast transfers instead of dragging stacks one by one. It feels like a proper speedrun QoL pass.
Dropping junk is finally painless. The single arrow down tosses one of the selected item, and the multi-arrow down dumps the entire stack. No more drag-and-spray across empty slots; you can clear space mid-fight without losing rhythm. If you’re in Creative, the little cross icon becomes a safety trash can that deletes the selected item instantly, which is perfect for builders tidying hotbars between palette swaps. Survival players won’t accidentally nuke anything—trash stays disabled outside Creative.
Quick Craft is the sleeper hit. Hit the hammer icon and you can craft straight from your inventory grid, and the same shortcut works on the crafting table page. It reads your available mats, shows the output, and lets you slam out torches, ladders, or tools without bouncing through extra menus. It’s small, but when you’re stocking a project chest or prepping for a trip, that time adds up.
The best part is that none of this fights vanilla muscle memory. The mod keeps your normal layout, then layers the toolbar on the left so you can toggle modes as needed. Loot fast, drop smart, craft quick, and get back to the fun. If your evenings are spent dragging stacks around instead of playing, the Better Inventory mod fixes the grind with a handful of honest, click-saving tools.
