Down in a mineshaft, this is clutch. Keep your light in hand while you carve a tunnel, peek side pockets without committing, then toss a block or set something down when you want to mark a room and push deeper. On surface runs, you can sprint through forests at midnight, check for cliffs before you faceplant, and spot mobs early enough to choose the fight instead of stumbling into it. For builders, pacing a site at night finally makes sense—walk the footprint with a handheld glow, read silhouettes, and only place permanent lighting when you’re sure about the layout.



Using it is dead simple: add the System Dynamic Lights Addon to your Minecraft Bedrock world, hop in, and carry a light-capable item when you want the glow to follow.
