Fake Blocks Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

Fake Blocks Mod is one of those sneaky building add-ons that instantly makes your world feel more like a puzzle map or a trap-heavy server. The whole gimmick is simple and nasty: fake blocks look like regular blocks, but they’re completely transparent when it comes to collision. So visually, everything seems safe… until someone steps on it and drops like a rock. In Minecraft Bedrock, that opens up a ton of fun ideas for bases, arenas, and prank builds without needing complicated redstone setups.

The utilities are clearly aimed at trap design. Hallway traps are the easy classic—someone runs down a corridor, doesn’t realize they’re crossing fake blocks, and suddenly the floor isn’t real anymore. You can also do secret walls, which is where this addon gets really creative. Put a “solid” wall in a low-traffic spot where nobody would ever think to push forward, and you’ve got a hidden passage that feels like an old-school secret room. That kind of trick is perfect for hiding loot, building a private escape route, or making a base with multiple layers that only you and your friends know how to navigate.

Crafting-wise, Fake Blocks Mod doesn’t just hand you everything. You need to craft the Falsifier first, and that’s the special block that lets you create fake blocks. The Falsifier lets you combine any block with lapis lazuli to make a fake version of that same block. That’s a clean system because it means you’re not limited to a tiny list of pre-made fakes—you can match whatever palette you’re building with, whether that’s stone, wood, or something you’re using for a themed base.

There’s also a nice quality detail to keep you from trolling yourself by accident. When you create a fake block, it’s clearly different from the original so you can tell what you made, but once you place it, the “FAKE” label disappears. Practical tip: test your fake blocks in a safe spot before you use them in a real trap, especially if you’re building around important areas. It’s really easy to forget where you placed them if you get carried away, so leaving subtle visual cues nearby—like a small pattern change or a marker block you recognize—can save you from falling into your own setup. Fake Blocks Mod is basically a trap-builder’s toolbox for Minecraft Bedrock: clean crafting, flexible block choices, and a lot of evil potential.
