Player Jockey Mod / Addon

Player Jockey Mod is a goofy-but-useful multiplayer add-on that turns other players into mounts. The whole point is simple: instead of relying on an animal’s movement or some janky AI behavior, you can hop on your friend and let them handle the steering. It’s perfect for co-op chaos, quick carry moments, or just messing around while traveling back to base.

Using it is pretty specific, but once you know the routine it’s easy. The player who wants to be rideable needs to clear both hands completely—main-hand and off-hand empty. That means you pick a free slot in your hotbar and also make sure the off-hand isn’t holding anything. Then you hold the sneak button, and a slight animation plays to show you’re in “rideable” mode. At that point, another player can interact with you to get on and you can move around with them riding.

In actual gameplay, this shines in those messy survival situations where coordination matters. Like, one person is low on health and you need to get them out of a cave fast, or you’re sprinting through a nighttime mess and keeping the group together is harder than fighting mobs. It also fits hilarious “taxi” moments in towns or base hubs, where one player just becomes the designated ride while the other watches surroundings or calls directions. The fact that it doesn’t require clunky mount controls is the main win—your friend is the mount and they already know how to move.

Kicking someone off is flexible too. The rider can press sneak to dismount, and the host player can also force an eviction by doing things like pressing the attack button. The rider can also get evicted if certain conditions happen, like being in water, gliding, starting to ride something else, or filling either the off-hand or main-hand slot. One important detail: filling the main-hand slot doesn’t apply to picking up items off the ground, so accidentally grabbing drops won’t instantly ruin it. And of course, leaving the world ends the ride.

Practical tip: if you want clean, reliable rides, make it a habit to empty both hands before you try anything, and avoid water or gliding while you’re doing player-jockey stuff. Player Jockey Mod is at its best when you treat it like a quick co-op tool: hop on, move fast, hop off, and keep the chaos rolling.



Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
