Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod is a port of the Java project “Crops Overhaul Texture Pack,” but this Bedrock version goes beyond textures and actually adds new crops and food items as extra content. The goal is simple: keep vanilla farming untouched while giving you new plants to build farms around and new foods to stock in your world.
You can grow corn (with corn seeds), tomatoes (with tomato seeds), and broccoli (by planting broccoli), and avocados grow by planting an avocado. Getting started is part of the grind: you find seeds or plantable crops by breaking leaf litter, with a 1/6 chance for a seed drop. Once you’ve got your first hits, the farming rules are familiar—tilled soil near water, high light level, and you’re in business. It’s the kind of setup that makes early exploration feel worth it, because leaf litter suddenly matters when you’re hunting for that first corn or tomato run.
The food side is where Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod gets fun for survival routines. Corn turns into stuff like cornbread, corn cookies, and a corn cake that works like vanilla cake but without the candle functionality. Tomatoes can become tomato soup, avocados have a golden avocado option, and broccoli has both baked broccoli and poisonous broccoli, which is a nice reminder to pay attention instead of mindlessly eating everything you craft or pick up. A smart move is keeping poisonous broccoli separated in storage so you don’t accidentally grab it during a rushed cave prep.
One heads-up the addon calls out: right now the crops connect to fences and can have some other quirky behaviors, and that’s planned to be fixed in a future update. So if you’re building pretty farm plots, test your layout first before you commit to a huge fence-lined design. Most textures come from the original pack by JerryJace, and the overall vibe stays consistent with the vanilla look while expanding what you can farm. Crops Overhaul (More Crops) Mod is an easy way to make Minecraft Bedrock farming feel less samey without deleting or replacing anything you already rely on.
