The Forgotten Legends: Age of Renewal Mod / Addon

Mods / Addons / Mods 1.21

The Forgotten Legends: Age of Renewal drops you into a rougher world where steel, rot, and fire all have their place. You’ll pick up rumors of the Nekros, follow them into an ancient ruin, and meet everything from the basic Ochi Nekros to a hulking Nekros Colossus that makes hallways feel too small. Somewhere in that dungeon lurks a hidden miniboss—beat it and you’ve got a shot at its scythe (and maybe robes), the key that unlocks necromancy later on.

Not all threats wear bones. Great Spiders nest where you don’t want to fall: caves, roofed forests, and their own lairs marked by a cobweb-choked hole in the ground. You’ll hear them before you see them, then it’s eight legs, tight spaces, and a quick decision about whether you stand or run. Out in the open, orcs roll in three flavors—wild, berserker, and ringleader—and you’ll bump into patrols or whole villages. They’re mean, they can tame wargs, and a sloppy approach gets punished fast. And then there are Fire Drakes: giant, fire-breathing lizards that don’t mind leveling a house—ask any orc that’s learned the hard way.

Combat’s readable and brutal in a good way. Silver weaponry deletes undead with +4 damage that ignores their gear. Swords make living targets bleed. Maces tag foes with slowness, buying you space. Axes hit hard and leave enemies weakened. You’ll find brass, silver, and orcish sets out in the world, so gearing isn’t just “stronger number”—it’s picking the right tool for the thing in front of you.

When you’re ready to dabble in the dark arts, craft at the necromancy table and use that scythe. A simple swing can cast a basic spell, and—book in hand—sneak-use to call in one of two summons, depending on which tome you’re holding. This is only the first slice of the Waaagh chapter, but it already plays like a full adventure: ruins to clear, lairs to raid, and choices that matter every time you draw steel.
