Steam & Gears Mod — gives you a clean starting point for real fluid systems in Bedrock without drowning you in complexity. You build tanks in three footprints, stack them into tall silos up to eighteen blocks high, then run pipes between them to move liquids from one place to another. It’s intentionally “alpha simple,” which is the charm: you focus on placing, linking, and watching levels change instead of wrestling with a dozen menus.
In survival, the utility shows up fast. Drop a compact 1×1×1 tank beside a basalt or obsidian station and feed it from your water or lava source; later, expand to a 2×1×2 or 3×1×3 footprint with vertical stacks when you want real storage near your smelter wing. Pipes keep layouts tidy—route lines along a wall, across a catwalk, or under a floor so your workshop stays walkable and screenshot-ready. Since tanks assemble from blocks you place, it feels like building real infrastructure rather than plopping a single prefab.
Because this is an early alpha, the feature set is tight on purpose: tanks, height stacking, and basic pipe connections between reservoirs. That makes it perfect for testing layouts now and future-proofing space for later mechanics as updates land. Spin it up in a copy of your world, sketch a small pump room, and scale vertically when you’re happy with the flow. If you’ve wanted a grounded, modular approach to fluids that fits straight into survival, Steam & Gears Mod lays the first solid bricks.
