Just Normal Cats – Addon / Texture Pack is a straight-shooting Bedrock port of SR400X’s Java pack that makes village strays and your tamed buddies look, well… normal—cleaner fur, consistent tones, and a cohesive style that still reads as pure Minecraft Bedrock. No gimmicks, no goofy redraws—just cats that fit every build from medieval towns to modern cafés without stealing the scene.
I ran it through a fresh survival seed and a creative test world. First stop: a plains village. The strays wandering the market looked unified instead of a grab bag of clashing textures, so screenshots came out nicer without me posing anything. After taming a pair (classic fish sprint), I parked them in a spruce cottage and the palette sat perfectly with the wood and leaf blocks—no neon, no muddy patches, just solid “vanilla but polished” vibes. Same story in a city map: line a counter with a few cats and the room feels alive without the textures shouting over your build.
Under the hood, it’s resource-only. That means zero behavior changes, zero spawn tweaks, and your achievements stay on. All the usual cat variants and mechanics still apply—find strays in villages and witch huts, tame with fish, sit/stand, breed, the works. You’re just getting cleaner coats that play nicer with shaders, RTX, or whatever texture stack you already run. If another pack also edits cat textures, put Just Normal Cats higher in your load order to make its look “win.”
If you want your world to look put-together without losing that classic feel, this is an easy install: familiar cats, better presentation, perfect for survival bases, roleplay servers, and screenshot junkies alike.
Installation:
