Ore Zombies Mod / Addon

Ore Zombies mod is a vanilla-friendly twist for Minecraft Bedrock that spawns resource-themed zombies—think Coal Zombie, Iron Zombie, up to the rare Diamond Zombie—that don’t burn in sunlight and drop mineable ore blocks instead of rotten filler. I’ve been hunting them between village runs and it changes the loop: you roam for fights in broad daylight, crack the drop where it lands, and walk away with actual materials instead of junk.

Here’s the core mechanic: every ore zombie drops a unique Ore Bit block tied to its type, and that block has progressive stages. Example—beat a Coal Zombie and it might spawn Coal Ore Bits (3). Break it and you’ll get coal plus a downgraded (2) block placed in the same spot; break that for more coal and it becomes (1); finish the last stage for the final payout. Diamond Zombies work the same, just with Diamond Ore Bits and a rarer spawn. Sometimes you roll lucky and the zombie places a (1) right away—single break, big grin. Every stage has tuned drops (early stages lighter, final stage chunkier), so full chains feel worth the effort.

The add-on locks down cheese, too. Silk Touch lets you pick up an Ore Bit whole without stepping stages, but if you place that block yourself, it’s flagged—break it and you get nothing. Same goes for any player-placed Ore Bit: tracked, no dupes, no farm scams. That means the play is to fight, mine where it falls, and move on.



Tactics I liked: clear a safe ring before breaking a (3) chain so mobs don’t swarm; carry a Silk Touch tool only for relocating drops to a protected room, knowing placed bits won’t pay out; and keep eyes peeled at noon—the fact they don’t burn in sunlight makes plains patrols genuinely profitable. If you want combat to feed your ore wallet in Minecraft Bedrock without breaking balance, Ore Zombies nails the fantasy: kill, mine, profit—no shenanigans.
