You die, panic sets in… and then the key shows you the way. GraveStone takes the worst moment in Minecraft Bedrock and turns it into a clean recovery run. The second you drop, you get a unique key; hold it and it tells you the exact coordinates and distance in blocks to your grave. No guessing, no “was it that ravine or the other one?”—you’ve got a straight shot to your gear.
When you reach the spot, interact with the gravestone while holding the key and your entire inventory snaps back. Keys are one-to-one with graves, so duping a buddy’s key won’t help—only the grave’s owner can open it. Lost your key? Craft a replacement and keep moving. Server runners get tools too: slap the admin tag (V2.0) and you can open any grave to help stuck players after a wipe or a bugged fall.
Edge cases are handled smartly. Fell into the End void? Your grave spawns at Y=1 with some helper blocks so you’re not doing a blind pearl throw in the abyss. Two players die in the same spot? The mod places graves side by side to prevent overlap and item loss. And in V2.0, there are 8 grave variants that show up based on your XP level at death—tiny touch, but it’s a nice read on how much you were carrying.
In practice, it changes how you play. I keep the key in the hotbar, glance at the readout, and decide if I’m sprinting back at night or staging a daytime run with food and blocks. Nether corpse run? Note the coords, bring fire res, and bridge in. On SMP, the owner-only lock stops “helpful” looting, while admins can still bail out disasters. If you want fair deaths and clean retrievals without breaking survival, GraveStone is the safety net that actually respects the grind.
