Custom Paintings Minecraft mod allows the player to add real paintings, photos, and screenshots to the game. Your Minecraft bedroom has a giant empty wall, and the usual paintings just aren't cutting it anymore. Custom Paintings lets you bring your own pictures, photos, and screenshots into Minecraft Bedrock, so the artwork in your builds can actually mean something to you. Imagine walking into your survival house and seeing a picture from your first dragon fight hanging above the fireplace. That's a lot more personal than cycling through the same familiar paintings for the hundredth time.
The whole appeal here is choosing what belongs on your walls instead of settling for whatever the game gives you. Maybe you've got a screenshot of a ridiculous moment with your friends, a landscape from an old survival world, or a piece of artwork that would look perfect inside your castle. Custom Paintings is designed to bring images like those into Minecraft. You could decorate a gaming room with your favorite pictures, put family photos inside a cozy cottage, or turn a plain hallway into a gallery of memorable adventures. And I'm talking about the little moments too. That screenshot of your friend falling into lava while trying to show off? Absolutely deserves a spot in the living room. You can even make a collection of pictures from different stages of your world, starting with your first wooden shack and ending with the enormous base that took three months to finish.
I'd probably get carried away building an entire museum. One room for screenshots from the Nether, another for impressive structures, and a section dedicated to all the weird things that happen when you play multiplayer long enough. A custom picture gallery could be a pretty cool addition to a community server, especially if everyone contributes their favorite memories. There's also a more practical decorating angle. Restaurants can have themed artwork, modern apartments can display photography, and medieval castles can feature portraits that fit their interiors. If you're making an adventure map, pictures could help establish the setting or give players something interesting to examine. You don't need to rebuild your entire world to appreciate this addon, either. Sometimes a few carefully chosen images are enough to make a familiar room feel like it belongs to an actual person rather than another randomly generated Minecraft house.
Before you start decorating, keep in mind that adding personal images involves more than simply placing a regular painting. You'll need to prepare the pictures for the addon and follow its customization process, then import the resulting Minecraft pack and activate it in your world settings. The download page doesn't provide a detailed walkthrough of the image upload process, so it's worth checking that part before planning a huge gallery. I'd start with one favorite screenshot and see how it looks on a wall. Once you've figured out the setup, you can plan something bigger. Custom Paintings is especially fun for players who want their Minecraft Bedrock homes to tell their own stories, right down to the pictures hanging inside them.
Installation Mod:
- Download the .mcaddon / .mcpack;
- Open the file to import into the game;
- In World Settings → Resource Packs and Behavior Packs, enable it (turn on Experiments if needed);
- Have fun!
