Illagers+: Legend of Dorkshire is an adventure map for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Where new adventures and exciting hours of gameplay await you. Dorkshire has a problem, and it’s bigger than the usual pillager patrol wandering past a village. The Arch-Illager and his army are threatening the kingdom, leaving you to take on their forces and protect its inhabitants. Illagers+: Legend of Dorkshire turns that idea into a Minecraft adventure with themed levels, unusual enemies, and boss fights inspired by Minecraft Dungeons. If you’ve ever wanted an excuse to grab your gear and go after a whole army of illagers, this map gives you one.
The kingdom itself is more than a place to run through on your way to the next fight. Dorkshire has a castle, a town, and plenty to look at between encounters. Other locations include mines, a slime cave, and the Royal Halls, giving the adventure a sense of travelling through a larger world rather than fighting in the same arena over and over. I’d take a few minutes to look around when you reach a new area. The builds help set the mood, and it’s nice to know where you are before a group of enemies demands your full attention.
Those enemies are a major part of the experience. The map features more than 50 additional illager types, so don’t expect every encounter to play out like a familiar village raid. You’ll meet different members of the Arch-Illager’s forces as you make your way through the levels, along with some particularly tough opponents. That variety gives you a reason to pay attention to what’s in front of you instead of charging into every battle the same way. A fight that looks manageable at first can become much more interesting when unfamiliar mobs join in.
The boss encounters are where that preparation really matters. Some draw inspiration from Minecraft Dungeons, so players who enjoyed that game may recognize a few names and designs. The Redstone Monstrosity is among the threats you can face, while the Arch-Illager’s presence hangs over the adventure as the leader of the opposing army. Bring your best equipment, watch what your opponent is doing, and be ready to change your approach if rushing in doesn’t work. The map also includes distinctive armor and a defensive artifact, the Totem of Shielding, adding to the adventure’s dungeon-crawling feel. Before playing, make sure to import the required resource and behavior packs so the custom content can appear and work properly.
You can invite friends to help defend Dorkshire, and that sounds like a good way to tackle the larger fights. One player can draw an enemy’s attention while others deal with the mobs nearby, or you can simply stick together and work your way through each level as a group. There’s also a secret level for players who like looking beyond the main route. If you want a hint, take a closer look around the villager statue in Dorkshire; there’s a cave nearby that may be worth investigating. You can leave that search until after a battle, or make finding it a goal of its own.
Illagers+: Legend of Dorkshire has the feel of a proper mission: there’s a kingdom to protect, an enemy army to fight, and more than one place to explore along the way. Whether you go in alone or bring friends, take time to enjoy the locations between battles. Then get back out there—the Arch-Illager isn’t going to leave Dorkshire alone just because you’ve stopped to admire the castle.
How to install?
Android: you need to find the downloaded file on your phone, use any file manager for this and import the map into the game by opening it.
IOS: after receiving the map, the device itself will offer to install it.
Windows 10: go to the folder where the files are downloaded, find mcworld there and activate it.
